L.A. looked like 7th Avenue's little sis as a horde of fashion designers descended upon the city to host a number of store openings, luncheons and charity fundraisers. First off, Brit bad boy McQueen arrived to christen his Melrose Avenue store. Next, MaxMara threw a luncheon on behalf of Women in Film. Meanwhile, shoe impresarios Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison turned up at the Malibu Country Mart to celebrate Sigerson Morrison's largest West Coast store. Tory Burch and C.H.I.P.S. held a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Finally, Stella McCartney held court at Neiman Marcus, Beverly Hills to show her fall 2008 collection. -Kristin Young
